<span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: white;">Your best friend convinced you to get color contacts and become a blue-eyed seductress. You went to the web to educate yourself and got more confused than ever. There are so many kinds, colors and options. To start your education, you need to know few basics. First, all colored contact lenses come as tints, blends or theatricals. What does it mean?</span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.19in; margin-top: 0.19in; text-align: justify;">
<strong>Tinted Lenses</strong></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.19in; margin-top: 0.19in; text-align: justify;">
Choosing tinted lenses is all about color. Depending on the natural eye color, you can choose pure color tint, or just an enhancement.</div>
<img alt="" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxH1uS5n9PDeLja4Asw8acMfAiB2tkiqiOesnDWsWTde4jNKQJ4EBFY6i-msflcm1YayRWCBWysLmWB8SVRaFP4HRhBbZ6HVUWJj7ftZxdnyIAMtLxpMszox7BMGcqqwS8wYg6XyJXeAmj/s200/tinted-lenses.jpg" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5639289554091328930" style="cursor: hand; cursor: pointer; float: left; height: 150px; margin: 0 10px 10px 0; width: 200px;" /><br />
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.19in; margin-top: 0.19in; text-align: justify;">
Pure color tints dramatically change the color of eyes, from green to brown, from brown to blue etc. They are particularly suitable for people with dark eyes, who would like to have light-colored eyes. Color enhancers do not change the color of the iris, but enhance the natural color or change its shade. So, if your eyes are baby blue, you can get an enhancer eye lens to make them blue-green, emerald or azure. Particularly strong tinted lenses capable of dramatic color change are called opaque. They are the only option for people with dark eyes.</div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.19in; margin-top: 0.19in; text-align: justify;">
<strong>Color </strong><strong>Blend Lenses</strong></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.19in; margin-top: 0.19in; text-align: justify;">
In choosing color contacts, color blend lenses are important for those people who prefer the color to stay as natural as possible. Blends are mixes of colors that are found naturally in the eye – specks of green in hazel eyes, or golden spots in green eyes. The options are endless and it be quite fun to decide the right color mix and still have your new color lenses look very natural.</div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.19in; margin-top: 0.19in; text-align: justify;">
<strong>Theatrical Lenses</strong></div>
<div style="background: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 0.19in; margin-top: 0.19in;">
</div>
<img alt="" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt7T74Hu5MhZv8qk4uWxcA4ZXC-xhvQbOdUusUGK1gwIxRxzqImg5Bd9cUL-qX7AMK8RFk5Af4h2cicGAdz20fREWcyce-B8_M4echQQzEVshXeSe04CrUcwdNAOuNmAwal3jDA90VvmEl/s200/theatrical-lenses.jpg" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5639290004884240594" style="cursor: pointer; float: left; height: 198px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 10px; margin-top: 0px; width: 200px;" /><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Theatrical lenses are one of the possible choices when choosing color contacts, but it is not the choice for everyday use. Theatrical lenses are meant to provide the special effect, for example red eyes or spinning eyes. The vampire look is quite popular, and so is the monster look or the eyes with spiders or worms floating in them. Theatrical lenses have been created for use in the movie industry and are frequently used for theatrical productions. They are the choice for masque parties or Halloween, and they can be quite fun, but keep in mind that the theatrical lenses can obstruct the vision and should not be worn too long.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong>Finding the Best Look</strong></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; margin-bottom: 0.19in; margin-top: 0.19in; text-align: justify;">
Choosing color contacts is all about the right look. Most people are comfortable with staying with what they already have and making it stand out a bit. So, they will enhance their blue eyes with lenses with darker tint, or people with dark eyes will choose brown or chestnut opaque color lenses. On the other hand, there is different kind of people, those that want dramatic change and go for the opposite from what they have. People with dark eyes wish to become blue-eyed and people with green eyes opt for hazel or chocolate color lenses. For them, it is all about big changes, trying something new and exciting. After lifetime of looking the one way, they want to try the new look. Before spending $30 or $40 on such a dramatic change that might not turn out so well, you might want to try one of the websites which offer ‘electronic trial’ – you can upload your photo and play with different colored lenses to your heart’s content.</div>

Changing the color of your eyes is even easier than changing the color of hair, and as much fun. Blue eyes, green eyes, violet, grey, hazel, color contact lenses of all colors of the rainbow are now available to enhance what the nature provided. There are many reasons you might want to change the color of your eyes: to start the new life, to impress a girl or a boy, to hide from someone, to reinvent yourself, or just to follow a mood. The fashion also has its whims and there are years when it is absolute must to be blue-eyed, and others when everyone has to have brown eyes. Color contact lenses are here to satisfy the whim, or need, and they are now becoming very wearable and comfortable.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); ">
<br /></span></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU_JikgWjLzCMvGanl7GQ9G0LbDxrCGOvE84V8P_kIx8IoES6Kw_GQfxiAhnuFu5-9YrZ8RFLdhi0dc-AatAypY-4QAnIzawiJ8FAHFfPs1Ybpx7EaZneYDwXbkXA1Szl4paybK_Xchgs5/s320/color-contact-lenses.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 249px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5639287408994979506" /> <p style="text-align: justify;margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; "> Problems with sight, astigmatism, strabismus or any other eye problem is not any more reason for someone not to be able to change the eye color. Any prescription lens can be ordered in different color. All you need to do is ask the doctor when he is writing a prescription to specify the color. Any good optometrist keeps a stock of samples of colored contact lenses for prospective customers to try, so ask for a sample to make sure you will be comfortable wearing them. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; "> Color contact lenses come in several versions, just like any other lenses: some are disposable and others can be used for almost three months. The decision which one to use depends mostly on how long one plans to wear them, so for people who have corrective eye lenses, it is prudent to have color contacts that last longer.</p><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

Sure, all you have to do is ask. It is probably one of the best-kept secrets among those that have been wearing color contact lense</span><span lang="EN-US">s for a while now. It is the way to try them before committing to a particular color or brand. <span style=""> </span></span> <p style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span lang="EN-US">There are several ways to go about it: you can ask your neighborhood eyeglasses store if they keep some <span style="font-weight: bold;">samples</span>, or you can browse the net. All major manufacturers are offering<span style="font-weight: bold;"> free contact lenses samples</span> in order to promote their products and get wider buyers’ base. The idea is that, if you are happy with your free contact lens sample, you will come back for more and you will tell your friends about it.<br /></span></p><p style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span lang="EN-US"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhidfu3cjxD3N5uMk2Yt8zOZyCiYzCFkBBAPd2DXEgDgzSa7ZlfrGHh5AhQb4kp7E_VJuqx3EJPfKVibU5hw4Hr_3r6zR1dnRLABIyxCVFE_fO9lImflTC6O7xqrnqVr760WQUqSjkyT5Hl/s1600/free-contact-lenses-samples.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 146px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhidfu3cjxD3N5uMk2Yt8zOZyCiYzCFkBBAPd2DXEgDgzSa7ZlfrGHh5AhQb4kp7E_VJuqx3EJPfKVibU5hw4Hr_3r6zR1dnRLABIyxCVFE_fO9lImflTC6O7xqrnqVr760WQUqSjkyT5Hl/s320/free-contact-lenses-samples.jpg" alt="free contact lenses samples" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5571828220377473794" border="0" /></a></span></p> <p style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span lang="EN-US">All major contact lenses manufacturers are now offering free samples: Acuvue 2 Colors, Freshlook Colors and Durasoft Colors. Once one started giving free sample lenses, others had to join or be left behind. That is how the market works.<span style=""> </span>A quick search by Google will get you to one of their websites and the source of your first free sample.</span></p> <p style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span lang="EN-US">But, before searching for a first sample of free contact lenses, you have to visit your eye doctor, or nearby optometrist’s shop and get your eye exam. The law specifies that any health device, and lenses are considered medical devices, has to be prescribed by a medical professional. As your mother has been telling you for years, good yearly eye exam is good idea anyway. The exam will also ensure that the lenses fit well and are comfortable. So, get your prescription and start having real fun: choosing the color. It might be just a color for that one special night, but once you discover the delight of changing your eye color together with your hair color or you outfit, you will be back for more. You can get your free sample color lenses from the same shop where you did your eye exam or you can go back to your web search and try one of the web sites of the major manufacturers.<span style=""> </span>You will have as much fun as with any online shopping, and, as a bonus, you will get your free contact lenses. </span></p> <p style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% white;"><span lang="EN-US">Do not forget that, in order to change the color of your dark eyes completely, you need to get opaque color lenses. For those with light eye color, enhancer lenses can make their eye color different, or just of a different shade. So, have fun, impress your friends with your new look and share with them the secret: getting a free contact lenses should not be your secret only.</span></p><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

Everyone is dreaming of looking like Marilyn Monroe or Cameron Diaz, blinking their baby blue, sapphire, azure or sea-blue eyes at their admirers. Let’s be honest, there is something special about girls, and boys, with dark hair and baby blue eyes. Just look at Liv Tyler, or Madonna, on those days when her color is actually dark.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMOBwvgBeDWXEMe5y_98PhuGhbfCnzXXenc-_2MUJlPjTPvDwEEdZU9mnd1wQdibBNU1c64kLyRlrcqFHV1_v4AbUeGGQDJpUkqy7zVhGtUL_UsvnMm8_i8k2MkAJYEsvfKpw7_PnE70YG/s1600/blue-color-contacts.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 133px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMOBwvgBeDWXEMe5y_98PhuGhbfCnzXXenc-_2MUJlPjTPvDwEEdZU9mnd1wQdibBNU1c64kLyRlrcqFHV1_v4AbUeGGQDJpUkqy7zVhGtUL_UsvnMm8_i8k2MkAJYEsvfKpw7_PnE70YG/s200/blue-color-contacts.jpg" alt="blue colored contacts" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470131435520121714" border="0" /></a><span style="font-weight: bold;">Blue contact lenses</span> will make your dark eyes blue only if you chose the opaque contact lenses. Elizabeth Taylor made them famous and desirable in numerous movies in which she seduced famous screen heroes with her magnificent violet eyes. All you need to do if you want to be Elizabeth-lookalike is to buy a pair of violet color contacts. Of course, if your eyes are naturally dark, in order to change their color completely, you have to make sure that your lenses are opaque. However, if your eyes are naturally light, using <span style="font-weight: bold;">violet contacts</span> would make all sorts of interesting effects, depending on if your eyes are <a href="http://thecolorcontacts.blogspot.com/2010/04/green-color-contacts.html">green</a>, blue or <a href="http://thecolorcontacts.blogspot.com/2010/04/grey-color-contacts.html">grey</a>.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgjOGLzqS19EJFlJdMOpAJsANXeXdxo8kdA3EtZGc2isLy5aellKYxbDCUUD8JCV0AgnuGI_ozgdsKaiT_RYr0b8sUJiikCIxGFSdLW1mZwBjSyOKvrY6rVfS_AoyJr7bZnRdcMpGtM2YG/s1600/violet-color-contacts.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 190px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgjOGLzqS19EJFlJdMOpAJsANXeXdxo8kdA3EtZGc2isLy5aellKYxbDCUUD8JCV0AgnuGI_ozgdsKaiT_RYr0b8sUJiikCIxGFSdLW1mZwBjSyOKvrY6rVfS_AoyJr7bZnRdcMpGtM2YG/s200/violet-color-contacts.jpg" alt="violet color contacts" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458876878157058034" border="0" /></a><br />One of the best options in the market is <a href="http://thecolorcontacts.blogspot.com/2008/12/freshlook-colorblends.html">Freshlook Colorblends</a>, which would make all eyes shine with a subtle violet tone. Their secret is in blending three different colors in order to make the natural shade of violet. With some silky, shiny dress and a pair of silver earrings, the effect would be quite startling. If your eyes are naturally dark, you have to make sure to choose opaque lenses, which would completely change their color. If, on the other hand, you are lucky to already have exotic grey eyes or your eyes are of light color, you can chose the enhancer lenses to make your eyes darker, or of different shade of grey.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin8MDhnPl9iHYpldWs9xPvXNn_lc_CluBuzfEMNwFgIB1ral_FHtdUKFdd4isnEmuPQWw1pkn3HvWcbosWSfi5ooYuLYbhfIJfdxrDVvSXbFDK1MpVgOeWAvfERlHQ_7f0vPpbM9A61lJd/s1600/grey-color-contacts.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 150px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin8MDhnPl9iHYpldWs9xPvXNn_lc_CluBuzfEMNwFgIB1ral_FHtdUKFdd4isnEmuPQWw1pkn3HvWcbosWSfi5ooYuLYbhfIJfdxrDVvSXbFDK1MpVgOeWAvfERlHQ_7f0vPpbM9A61lJd/s320/grey-color-contacts.jpg" alt="grey color contacts" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456673826281884242" border="0" /></a><br />There are several manufacturers of color lenses that produce lovely <span style="font-weight: bold;">grey contact lenses</span>. It is very important to make sure that you chose the kind of lenses that you are comfortable with. When buying grey color contacts, you might want to try Bausch and Lomb lenses in platinum, a nice cool color with dark limbal ring, which is the ring on the outside of the iris. You can also go for a <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://thecolorcontacts.blogspot.com/2008/12/freshlook-colorblends.html">Freshlook Color Blends in grey</a>, which is not as dramatic, but it makes quite an effect when your pupils get enlarged and your natural color comes through.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

Irish, all of them, or born with green eyes? Not really. It is all the fault of green color lenses and their fantastic popularity. Some people just cannot live without color contacts to match their wardrobe.<br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Green color contacts</span> come in two versions: opaque, for those whose natural eyes are dark, and enhancers, for those who are born with light-color eyes and only need to make them brighter and shinier.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeaSolWhy5QHOd-TbmAgUmtqMosQLi3wKmcYKobyF3Tt6l5goWZwlATKtlKPDs3gBEbqHy9Xr1VNIW474XbKn-cNA-Ewy76pXS3vsmKHxwSjwg5wjW12JRZ16Mn4Mwjw9J4a0zG0DosumR/s1600/green-color-contacts.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 150px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeaSolWhy5QHOd-TbmAgUmtqMosQLi3wKmcYKobyF3Tt6l5goWZwlATKtlKPDs3gBEbqHy9Xr1VNIW474XbKn-cNA-Ewy76pXS3vsmKHxwSjwg5wjW12JRZ16Mn4Mwjw9J4a0zG0DosumR/s320/green-color-contacts.jpg" alt="green color contacts" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456672463941746418" border="0" /></a><br />Although green color contacts are so much in fashion, they are not for everyone. They are becoming quite a fashion accessory and there are many different kinds on the market. But, they all fall into two basic categories: opaque color tints and enhancement tints.<br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />How to decide which one to use is easy: if your eyes are dark, in order to change their color dramatically, you need to use the opaque color tints. With <span style="font-weight: bold;">opaque cosmetic colored contact</span> lenses, you can make your eyes become hazel, gray, amethyst, violet blue and green. You can also go crazy and use one of the special effect or theatrical contact lenses, such as ‘Marilyn Manson spiral’, alien, jaguar or pupil-less.<br /><br />If, on the other hand, you already have beautiful blue, green or amethyst-colored eyes, you can enhance them with the cosmetic colored contact lenses with – what else - enhancement tint lenses.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAO9SlaHJyb5RogH_9FzYyAOSG6Q1FuNRIvRkoq1MiTOapCjff__6yxhAl9CS2DDZh75NYIGXc-jEBFbyY_OGxQgxBfpr3BjqSh_NGJXZROW90dRhHNb8pgb5bpr7nvvhQw0T01orm7fDw/s1600/cosmetic-color-contacts.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 194px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAO9SlaHJyb5RogH_9FzYyAOSG6Q1FuNRIvRkoq1MiTOapCjff__6yxhAl9CS2DDZh75NYIGXc-jEBFbyY_OGxQgxBfpr3BjqSh_NGJXZROW90dRhHNb8pgb5bpr7nvvhQw0T01orm7fDw/s320/cosmetic-color-contacts.jpg" alt="cosmetic color contacts" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454173987060890050" border="0" /></a><br />The pleasure of changing or enhancing the color of your eyes with one of the cosmetic colored contact lenses will cost you between $15 and $30. Vampires are cool as usual! They are all over the place: TV, toy shops, bookstores. Who would not like to be one, just for one, very special, night? We are talking about Halloween, of course. No blood sucking involved. The latest product that is hitting the market are special <span style="font-weight: bold;">Halloween color contact lenses</span> that make your eyes look so scary, even real vampires would be impressed. Why not be the first one with real vampire or werewolf eyes and be the hit of the Halloween party!
<br /><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />There are two leading companies promoting and selling this cool novelty Halloween item: Cooper Vision, which makes <b>Crazy lenses</b>, and Ciba Vision, the creator of Wild Eyes. Both companies are highly respected and well-known manufacturers of normal prescription lenses, which means that they guarantee the safety and quality of the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Halloween color contacts</span> and your eyes will not pay the price of one night of fun. Some of their other products are color contacts and theatrical lenses of all kinds.

<br />The ‘scary ’Halloween color contacts will go to the market with the retail price between $50 and $80, not bad at all considering what one might expect from such a new and specialized product with a limited and temporary market. Meanwhile they are also suitable for people with astigmatism.<br /><br /></div><div align="justify">The real advantage with these color contacts is that they offer you a proper natural look by using a technology which consists in combining three colors that enhance the natural effect on your eye but also creates a subtle depth of your eyes. In order to give the most realistic look possible, every color contact of this range has hazel around the pupil and a charcoal outerline.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />So the good part with these lenses is that the look they give is really top. They have a wide range of colors available, blue, green, honey, gray, hazel, turquoise, brown and many others including the new True Sapphire which gives a really nice effect.<br /><br />So overall, from my own experience and what i have read, these color contacts are really top as they are synonym of quality, comfort and top natural color effect. Nevertheless some people have complained that when using them for long periods, your eye becomes quickly dry which is annoying. In that case simply rewet them and it will be fine. In my opinion they are probably the best available if you want to have a natural color effect!<br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

Well what you must know, is that the amount of color contacts which give you dark brown eyes is unfortunately rather small. Being one of the biggest brands in the world, Acuvue has a wide range of products which are suitable for most vision problems.
<br />
<br />Acuvue has a wide range of products. They have their leading <a href="http://www.acuvue.com/acuvue_colours.htm"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Acuvue 2 Colours</span></a> range (also called acuvue 2 colors). These color contacts are extremely thin and comfortable as they are made of water. They have colors for <a href="http://mycolorcontacts.blogspot.com/2007/12/color-contacts-for-dark-eyes.html">dark eyes</a> or color contact lenses for light eyes. This can be found on their website. You can see on the left a sample of these. I quite like the Sapphire blue and the Jade green...but then all depends on your hair color, skin tan and how you dress. So its up to you!
<br />
<br />If you have <a href="http://thecolorcontacts.blogspot.com/2008/08/color-contact-lenses-astigmatism.html">astigmatism</a>, then you should use their Acuvue Advance range which are in fact <a href="http://thecolorcontacts.blogspot.com/2008/06/colored-toric-contact-lenses.html">toric contact lenses</a>. With these contact lenses, Acuvue uses the latest technologies so that they are the most comfortable possible, and so that they do no pop or fall out of your eye!
<br />
<br />All in all, Acuvue is simply a great brand of very high quality offering a large range of products for everyone! A most have!

In fact it is rather easy to have a trial pair, but you will always need to go and see an eye specialist. So where can you get them?<br /><br />The first solution, if you are lazy, is to gon online on the website of one of the two most well known color contact brands: <span style="font-weight: bold;">freshlook</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold;">acuvue</span>. On their website if you look around, you will find a "try for free" link. You should click on it, and enter the information required (email, questionnaire, color contact model). Once this is done they will send you (by email most of the time), a certificate for a free trial pair of color contacts, that you should take to your eye care specialist who will then give them to you! Rather simple no?<br /><br />Another solution to get a <span style="font-weight: bold;">colored contacts trial pair</span> is to go directly to your eye doctor's office and ask him for a free trial pair. He will then measure your eyes, in order to give one which is suited to your vision problem and eye size. This is a commercial event, where the doctor as you are his patient gives you some color contact lenses for free in order to try them, and come back and see him!<br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

In fact it is quite easy as the lenses which correct <span style="font-weight: bold;">astigmatism</span> have their own name which is <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://thecolorcontacts.blogspot.com/2008/06/colored-toric-contact-lenses.html">toric color contact lenses</a>.<br /><br />You may have noticed that there are often different sorts of <span style="font-weight: bold;">toric color contacts</span> such as soft toric lenses, but do not worry, if the lense has toric in its name, then it is specialy made for people with astigmatism. In fact the only brand and lense which is for astigmatism and which does not have toric in its name is the Acuvue Advance, which is in fact a toric lens but with another brand custom name.<br /><br />In this article i wanted to point out something which is specific to toric lenses. Due to the need of your eyes when you have astigmatism, the lenses must not be able to rotate around. The way toric contact lenses are made helps them not to rotate and therefore they do not fall or pop out. <br /><br />All in all, Iwould recommend using soft toric lenses, as these are the ones which are the most comfortable for your eyes as they are soft. The <span style="font-weight: bold;">Acuvue Advance</span> range is good, and many say that they are better than Freshlook's toric lenses. So maybe you should go for them this time!<br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

Today i thought i would be more precise and give recommendations for people with brown eyes, as this is the most common eye color in the world. Many of you have probably in the past already tested <span style="font-weight: bold;">colored contact lenses for brown eyes</span> and were probably disappointed as the result was not so good. In the past the lenses gave you either a very small change to your eye color or completely changed it making it really unfortunately unnatural!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">But now with the developpment of the technology and science, there are some <span style="font-weight: bold;">colored contact lenses for brown eyes</span> which give a very nice result, in fact a lot better than in the past! Nevertheless you must consider that creating a lense which could change a brown eye into sky blue and make it look natural is rather difficult, so you cant expect to have something perfect but it will be a lot better than in the past! As i explained in my previous articles, different types of color contacts exist: enhancement and opaque ones. Unfortunately even though enhancement are the best in my opinion they only work well with light eyes and therefore if you have brown eyes enhancement lenses would look almost invisible or would create a very small tint which could clearly not be considered as changing the color of your eye.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVslV4VgbTieG_hyphenhyphens0tns1t4Es-MCpIrHnpPoLZOHLbyhCy9auD_c-7T8B8gBQ2dHLGWtjcFxsJU7IREOp_UkkQwiyslPHVnT-d5oxH5tblPde8vAK7sGDAnY4knDYYDxNZ3EvloIYkQ7S/s1600-h/1679detail.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVslV4VgbTieG_hyphenhyphens0tns1t4Es-MCpIrHnpPoLZOHLbyhCy9auD_c-7T8B8gBQ2dHLGWtjcFxsJU7IREOp_UkkQwiyslPHVnT-d5oxH5tblPde8vAK7sGDAnY4knDYYDxNZ3EvloIYkQ7S/s400/1679detail.jpg" alt="Freshlook True Sapphire" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231187131585845250" border="0" /></a>Opaque are those that you need for brown eyes. These lenses are not transparent (only the middle part is so that you can see through it). But dont worry they are not solid color, they give a very nice effect which reflects quite well the human eye color. Nevertheless not all give a natural effect. The best in my opinion is Freshlook ColorBlends by Ciba Vision. They look very realistic as the lenses are in fact a mix of different shades (as for a normal iris). The best looking one if you like blue is the True Sapphire Model. If you prefere Acuvue, i would go for <span style="font-weight: bold;">Acuvue 2 Colors Opaque</span>! Hope this will help you! On the left you can see the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Freshlook True Sapphire</span> model and below the Acuvue 2 Colors Opaque!<br /></div></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqeoVwBAc5kieGOycDV6hcxtH6bDx-imTMHK2LBYFBRRChMWgoWqKUK1z9jdRGK0a-6AT3lCvdnyw5qOGqxixnZvUsimd05oQ-Nq-FwsWV83n2VnKa-_DAKI9iV-8pNXNDsSoMfUZaFXsb/s1600-h/color_acuvue_opa.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqeoVwBAc5kieGOycDV6hcxtH6bDx-imTMHK2LBYFBRRChMWgoWqKUK1z9jdRGK0a-6AT3lCvdnyw5qOGqxixnZvUsimd05oQ-Nq-FwsWV83n2VnKa-_DAKI9iV-8pNXNDsSoMfUZaFXsb/s400/color_acuvue_opa.jpg" alt="Acuvue 2 Colors Opaque" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231187426518526482" border="0" /></a></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

They become with your costume a real gadget to use to disguise yourself. You can see below a sample of such color contacts and the effect they can have on a eye! Awesome!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ93pPqPjRf2JViYF8y86nYcCEcjIwbkhx2E_Td_c6lYRMD3Xlm-kuWMonuhDJe2Bp_KvUC39HH3VDflSJFd4ez-SnttPLUoGxuOMTaw2wG1lWqaAZzPPQsZCjRoi-QoXsDnec3HbmB_Vf/s1600-h/halloween.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 365px; height: 334px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ93pPqPjRf2JViYF8y86nYcCEcjIwbkhx2E_Td_c6lYRMD3Xlm-kuWMonuhDJe2Bp_KvUC39HH3VDflSJFd4ez-SnttPLUoGxuOMTaw2wG1lWqaAZzPPQsZCjRoi-QoXsDnec3HbmB_Vf/s400/halloween.jpg" alt="Halloween Color Contacts" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5229912604531381762" border="0" /></a>One of the main advantages of these types of color contacts, is that they do not all require prescriptions! As they are lenses you will be wearing simply on a particular event, a few times a year, there is no real risk of damaging your eye, so you can use them safely. Simply do not use them the same frequency as normal contact lenses. Most of the time, halloween color contacts are sold with costumes so that you have a complete effect! Have fun!<br /></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

Well this time lets see which ones are suited for <span style="font-weight: bold;">light eyes</span>! So if you have light colored eyes it is recommended to use either opaque or <span style="font-weight: bold;">enhancer color contact lenses</span>. If you simply want to change your colour then use opaque ones, but on the other hand if you want something a bit more unpredictable then use enhancer ones.<div style="text-align: justify;"><br />The ones i would especially recommend for light eyes are the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Freshlook Dimensions</span> (as can be seen on picture below) which are monthly disposable ones as they add depth to your eyes and make them look larger and prettier.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii6prPUc6U-RUzC6Leo_Qyz-2SYBxRyhMvLqeVML0-DGqhkQUA9Q2TzkJezTkE2c9GmQaIiMxwoZ37ObVHvP1vs6OJu8T7v9a0Rjc9o2xywFEy8tdYZQvNVKT-WTlNtl-cY_nfcjHZMB8T/s1600-h/Freshlook_dimensions_1.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii6prPUc6U-RUzC6Leo_Qyz-2SYBxRyhMvLqeVML0-DGqhkQUA9Q2TzkJezTkE2c9GmQaIiMxwoZ37ObVHvP1vs6OJu8T7v9a0Rjc9o2xywFEy8tdYZQvNVKT-WTlNtl-cY_nfcjHZMB8T/s320/Freshlook_dimensions_1.jpg" alt="Freshlook Dimensions" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5229250690196905266" border="0" /></a>On the other hand if you want to have more sparkling eyes i would recommend <span style="font-weight: bold;">Freshlook Radiance</span> or <span style="font-weight: bold;">Acuvue 2 Enhances</span> contacts which give a striking bright and sparkling effect to your eyes. The Acuvue (as can be seen below) will give you a more intense effect than the Freshlook one, so you need to see what you prefere!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwwLVcaJEtkYCyWvI6c68rcS8rE3c5-Hih8hp1Gc3RK7tTtFtOO2lQJPfmUEInmpt9IM_dWV2JwLs6ZbW-bKW6y0aBreKy8yvvws6F9F70I0oB4wWGui79qUFBVzsc2fV9slunCsmaeuvP/s1600-h/Img-ColorMap-EE.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwwLVcaJEtkYCyWvI6c68rcS8rE3c5-Hih8hp1Gc3RK7tTtFtOO2lQJPfmUEInmpt9IM_dWV2JwLs6ZbW-bKW6y0aBreKy8yvvws6F9F70I0oB4wWGui79qUFBVzsc2fV9slunCsmaeuvP/s400/Img-ColorMap-EE.jpg" alt="Acuvue 2 Enhances" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5229251447570734690" border="0" /></a>Also be careful when using enhancement color contacts, as depending on the color of your eye it can in some cases make them look even darker. With enhancement ones you need to test and make sure they suit correctly your eyes and the look you want!<br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

So you are probably expecting me to give you a list of website where you can buy them? Well even though this is sometimes possible online, i do not recommend this practice at all!<br /><br />In fact if you want to <span style="font-weight: bold;">buy colored contacts without a prescription</span> well you will in the end need a prescription! This is due to the fact that contact lenses (included colored ones) have more than simply corrective charasteristics. Each eye is different, therefore you need to know the base curve size of your eye and which lense diameter is suitable for your eye! And guess who can tell you this? A specialist, who will give you a prescription!<br /><br />It occurs that some people buy color lenses online without any prescriptions. This is clearly a bad idea. You should read articles and posts from people having had eye problems due to contact lenses that were not suited to them .... Clearly if you use regularly lenses which are not suited to your eye well you can severely damage it and this for your whole life, even for thos who have never had any vision problems before! If i were you i would not buy non prescription color contacts at all! If you dont have a prescription you can go to Walmart, who have eye specialists who will measure your eye and give you an adapted pack of contact lenses!<br /></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

This phenomen has happened in particular among young people. In the past <span style="font-weight: bold;">contact lenses</span> could only be bought with prescriptions as were normal glasses. Nowadays, it seems that<span style="font-weight: bold;"> </span>they are becoming increasingly prominent, especially with the development of the wide range of <span style="font-weight: bold;">color contact lenses</span>. It is actually more and more frequent to have friends changing regularly of eye color thanks to these lenses. Furthermorethey are being sold with other products such as costumes for example. Halloween costume sets often have <span>color contact lenses</span> included in them in order to increase the drama aspect of the costume.<br /><br />The second reason why <span>they</span> are becoming very popular is their price, and there has been a drop in prices in the last few years. Some color contacts are cheap but are nevertheless very safe to use. Young poeple with limited budget tend to go for these. Example of such color <span style="font-weight: bold;">contact lenses</span> are the <span style="font-weight: bold;">disposable</span> ones which can be changed frequently and do not cost a lot. The advantage of such lenses is that it does not matter if you loose them, and it is rather difficult to break them which is more convenient than glasses for young people!<br /><br />Many companies offer <span>contact lenses</span> and especially online. It is therefore difficult to know what to buy. Beware of <span style="font-weight: bold;">cheap</span> unbranded <span style="font-weight: bold;">contact lenses</span> that are sold in large quantities. These usualy do not give any documentation or information on whether the lenses have been proved medicaly as safe or not. As a consequence if you do not want to harm your human eyes, do not buy these! Furthermore, for those having vision problems such these type of cheap lenses could damage your eye!<br /><br />The best solution is to go and see an optician or eye clinic offering <span style="font-weight: bold;">eyewear</span> and <span>color contact lenses</span>. At least when seeing them, they will be able to recommend you <span style="font-weight: bold;">safe </span><span>ones</span><span style="font-weight: bold;"> </span>which will not harm your eye! For those willing to change the color of their eye, you may look into color contacts to change your look. Yet again ask your optician if the ones you like are safe or not. If you have any eye vision issue, the optician will be able to recommend you those that are the most suited to your eyes!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--

The price of them has gone down due to a drop in manufacturing costs. A wide range of disposable color contacts can be found. You can find daily, weekly and monthly lenses. You are probably asking yourselves what are the differences between traditional ones and disposable ones?<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Disposable color contact lenses</span> are rather recent in terms of their development and that is why they are becoming more and more popular. Knowing whether lenses are traditional or disposable is not always easy. In order to differentiate them, it is simple, you should simply look at the package in which they are sold. If they are sold in a box then generally they are disposable lenses. On the other hand if they are in a phial and have a per unit price, then they are traditional.<br /><br />We will now have a look at the advantages of disposal color contacts and why you should buy them. First of all, from a health point of view, they are better for your eyes as they are more comfortable because they are thinner but also because proteins don’t develop as much as with traditional ones. When you use them, you should change them regularly as this is better for the health of your eye. What is good is that they are used on short periods, so if you loose one, well no problem you just buy some new ones.<br /><br />The main difference between them is that traditional ones are often hand painted such as Illusions by <span style="font-weight: bold;">CibaVision</span>. Hand painted color contacts create a more natural look than those that use the digital printing method. The reasons why disposable color contacts are not hand painted is that it is expensive to manufacture but also that it takes a lot of time to do for lenses that are changed on a daily/weekly or monthly basis!</div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><script type="text/javascript"><!--
